In addition, the business was also experiencing significant change as raw material prices had risen dramatically and a competitor had successfully developed a product to challenge 4Ds market position.

The company had to significantly reduce costs, modernise production facilities and re-organise and re-focus the finance function which resulted in a redundancy programme. In making the changes the business had to be sure that it had followed all correct legal procedures and that the management structure and business resources would support future growth and development.

RSM Tenon advised the new managing director on the options available. We acted as a sounding board, providing support and challenge where needed. We advised on the accounting implications and how the business best present the information both in the annual accounts but also in discussion with the bank. Our HR team sat alongside the new managing director during the restructuring. Our outsourcing team now fully outsource the accounts function reducing ongoing costs and improving the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
