Alistair began his career with BDO Stoy Hayward in 1983 when he joined as a student in the corporate advisory department. He qualified in 1987 and was immediately made a manager. Partnership followed in 1992. In July 2004 Alistair was appointed Managing Director of the Nottingham office of RSM Tenon, subsequently assuming the role of Regional Director for the Midlands.
Alistair works closely with the East Midlands team, co-ordinating their input on businesses of all sizes and complexity. Alistair has previously led growth strategies for some outstanding business start-ups in addition to exit and succession management and the related commercial re-structuring routes.
Alistair writes regularly for the local press and regional business magazines and chairs the RSM Tenon East Midlands Regional Board and is on the Board of EMITA (the East Midlands International Trade Association).
