Brian heads up these areas of our business and has extensive experience as an HR specialist, general manager and consultant. His HR career included three years as Personnel Director of an international office products group. He then built businesses in the rapidly changing IT market before founding and running a successful HR and Recruitment Consultancy in that sector. Specialist areas are Recruitment, Employment Law, Remuneration & Benefits and E-HR. He is also involved in the Further Education sector where he was a governor of a progressive FE college for 10 years.

Sylvia has many years experience as both an HR and Office Manager. She has worked for several professional practices and also in the construction industry. Sylvia’s wide experience of practical HR includes specialist knowledge in dealing with long term sickness and absenteeism and in managing complex discipline and grievance issues. She is also involved in health and safety advice and matters relating to data protection. Sylvia has a particular interest in employment law and has gained the Post Graduate Certificate in Employment Law from Lancashire University. In addition, she is very familiar with helping USA clients set up effective employment policies and practices in the UK. For our Public Sector clients, Sylvia has been involved in Compliance audits relating to Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts and HR Due Diligence for potential College mergers

Helen has extensive experience in a range of industry sectors including retail, hospitality, construction, engineering and financial services. She has provided a generalist HR service to clients which has covered employment contract and policy work, performance and attendance management, disciplinaries and recruitment. Helen employs her commercial focus to advise on complex issues such as TUPE transfers, outsourcing and redundancy. She has delivered workshops for managers of all levels on subjects such as employment law, recruitment, and discrimination legislation.

Liz is an experienced HR professional and provides HR support to our clients across a range of industry sectors. Her specialist areas include setting up internal HR functions, providing on site-HR support, short-term secondments to clients as HR manager, developing contracts of employment, employment policies and handbooks, providing best practice guidance on employment legislation, advising on managing absence, and supporting managers with disciplinaries, dismissals, grievances and redundancies. She is also a member of the CIPD.

He has over twenty years in helping clients develop their people and for ten years was a PLC director of consulting and HR in a management consultancy. Mike has wide experience of coaching senior teams and using psychological approaches to build success cultures and rewarding work environments. Mike is trained in a number of feedback tools such the MyersBriggs Temperament Indicator and is an innovative management trainer.

Tim has significant strategic and operational HR experience in UK and across Europe as in house HR Director, and as external HR Advisor to UK and US owned organisations of varying size and complexity in business sectors which include general manufacturing, chemicals, defence, software, real estate and education. He has planned and delivered the HR and TUPE issues of some 50 mergers, acquisitions and disposals. He advises on minimising employer exposure to work-related stress and regularly supports organisational development and change initiatives.

Terry has extensive Search and Selection experience having been a director of a successful recruitment business for around 20 years. He qualified in banking, spent 10 years in sales and marketing with an international IT company. He then ran a software and services business targeting accountants in practice before moving into recruitment. He is a SEEDA Merlin Mentor, an Associate of the Institute for Independent Business and a regular speaker running interactive sessions on Sales, Marketing, Personal Development, Recruitment and Retention issues.
