Tenon promotes to meet ambitious growth plans
Tenon, the UK’s leading accountancy and business advisory firm to entrepreneurs, announced today (7th January 2008) a series of promotions including three new directors and four associate director positions.
Following the six acquisitions in 2007, Tenon has now become a 39 office operation with over 1800 staff across the UK. Tenon’s ambitious growth plans will continue this year and in the future so they reach their target of being a £250m turnover business by 2012.
The acquisitions of Unity, Jackson Joliffe Cork and Hurst Morrison Thomson Corporate Recovery developed Tenon’s Recovery service becoming the second largest corporate appointment taker in the country. The Bowmans and LWC acquisitions have enhanced their Business Advisory and Accounts offering whilst Professional Assurance Services has expanded the Tenon Financial Services operation.

The director appointments are:-
- > Jeremy Woodside has been promoted to Recovery director and is based in Tenon’s Manchester office. Jeremy has over 10 years experience in recovery and insolvency of which eight have been at Tenon.
- > Stanley Burkett-Coltman who is based at Tenon’s Southampton office has also been appointed as a Director of Tenon Recovery. Stanley has dealt with all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, credit management and business recovery over his 22 years experience.
- > Russell McBurnie has been promoted to Director and is Head of Finance for the Group after being with Tenon for two and a half years. Russell has over 8 years experience in financial and management accounting and has been an influential figure in Tenon’s recent acquisitions.
There have also been four Associate Director appointments:
- > Our new Associate Director in Outsourcing, Andrew Barnes (Chorley office).
- > Melissa Howett has been promoted to Associate Director in Financial Services (Basingstoke office).
- > Craig Morrison has become Associate Director for Recovery (Edinburgh office).
- > Finally, Cara Chambers becomes Associate Director of Human Resources (Basingstoke office).
